A Little About Me
Grace and Peace! I'm MyAsia Obazee, and I'm glad you're here! I'm not sure how you got here but 9x out of 10, God's will shall be done. I'd like to take some to share a little of who am, that way you'll get more clarity on why you're here as well.
I was born and raised, in Philadelphia, PA, and since April 2020, I've been thriving in Houston Texas.
HOW GOD DERAILED MY LIFE...
In 2011, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Aviation science from Elizabeth City State University, in North Carolina.
During the summer of June until August 2011, I interned at the National Aeronautics Space Administration (NASA) in Greenbelt Maryland. As my internship was ending, I got sick, and I received emergency heart surgery due to having irregular heartbeats at 268 BPM. I was diagnosed with Atrial Tachycardia. I had no idea at the time, God desired to use this " life altering" situation to wake me up from my lukewarmness. Though educationally I was pursuing good things, spiritually I was waisting away. I was gaining the whole world, yet losing my soul.
After the 1st failed surgery, and then a second successful one, while on bed rest I vividly remember having a dream that I was in Cosmetology School. The next day, (though unaware it was a dream from God) I decided to apply. Not knowing where it would take me, ( but in faith) I finished Cosmetology School in 2012 and worked in a few salons before taking a break to seek God for clarity about my life. Late 2012, I began to draw near to God more, and give up things that drew me away from God.
JESUS IS LORD
In 2013, I gave my life to Christ as a grown adult, and life has truly never been the same. In that break, I decided to take a year to serve inner-city youth at Youth Build Charter school where I taught Web Design and Graphic Design to High School Drop-In Seniors. My desire has always been to focus on my passions which is using my gifts to bring glory to God while impacting and encouraging others to do the same.
God still continued to lead me back to styling hair. Truth be told, I had no idea that Styling hair was a training ground for me to grow in my call as an Evangelist. For the next 6.5/7 years, as I was growing in Christ, I was building my hair business with God as my CEO. I spent countless hours, pouring into, praying with, and sharing my faith with my clients.
In early 2014, Graphic Design became my main focus, having applied to many companies but never hired so I started working freelance creating designs proficiently to help companies advertise and promote their various events and projects, including designing logos, business cards, brochures, t shirt design etc.
WALKING IN PURPOSE...
In the last few months of 2014, I urnestly began to seek God on leading my path towards continuing to encourage people on a daily basis while still having the opportunity to use my gifts. God spoke so clearly, and I started styling hair full time.
For 6.5 years, I was able to travel to style hair in different states, network with others to help continually serve in my community, and still be able to encourage others while doing what I love. I even had the chance to style hair for students at the same Charter School, where I worked as a Graphic Design Instructor. Only God!
Along the way, in 2017, I decided to make some major health changes in losing weight. On that journey, I also discovered the leading cause of a scalp condition (seborrheic dermatitis) I suffered from all my life that I don't claim because Jesus is a Healer. I CLAIM IT DAILY. In just one year, I was led by God to go back to school to study Holistic Nutrition, in order to gain the wisdom and knowledge needed to help others better to take back their life and live it to the full.
June 2019, I became Certified in Holistic Nutrition and my goal is to Educate those in need on how to understand what it means to Eat to live, and then continue to Empower them on their journey towards a healthier life.
In September 2019, I became a Certified Spiritual Life Coach, in order to help people come out of bondage from religious systems into right relationship with God. The Lord freed me from the International Church of Christ, a false religion. I was also a member of a secret society, and I denounced Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. Helping others break ties with demonic altars as well, and by His grace I started my LessMeMoreGod Ministry.
During the onset of the Pandemic in 2020 I moved to Houston Texas to advance my life and career physically and spiritually. I currently am active in Deliverance & Evangelism Ministry, helping set the captives free. In August 2022 when God said it was time to go back to my first love, and for the last year March 2023, I've been blessed to have my own salon suite and build what God has graced me to build, and July 2023 I became a Certified Hair Loss Specialist.
